Thiết bị quản lí đầu ra âm thanh SX-2000AO có hai đầu vào nguồn điện để kết nối với các thiết bị cấp nguồn khẩn cấp giúp thiết bị cũng như hệ thống vẫn hoạt động bình thường khi mất điện. SX-2000AO có thể sử dụng nguồn điện từ bộ cấp nguồn VX-200PS hoặc nguồn điện 24V DC với dải nguồn hoạt động từ 20V – 40V DC.
Tương ứng với 2 nguồn điện đầu vào thì SX-2000AO có 2 dòng điện tiêu thụ là 1.2A hoặc nhỏ hơn khi dùng nguồn điện dự phòng từ VX-200PS hoặc 0.79A hoặc nhỏ hơn khi dùng điện 24V DC.
Thiết bị quản lí đầu ra âm thanh SX-2000AO có khả năng gọi đồng thời tất cả các vùng trong tình huống khẩn cấp. Mức âm thanh ngõ ra được chỉ định trên đồng hồ đo mức được cung cấp cho mỗi kênh ngõ ra. Âm lượng của từng kênh được điều chỉnh bằng các nút điều chỉnh nằm ở mặt trước của thiết bị hoặc thông qua phần mềm.
Các nút chức năng của Thiết bị quản lí đầu ra âm thanh SX-2000AO gồm: Nút chức năng, Điều khiển mức ngõ ra, Điều chỉnh âm lượng của loa giám sát, ngắt ON/OFF, Nút hoạt động.
Thiết bị quản lí đầu ra âm thanh SX-2000AO có kích thước 482 (W) × 88,4 (H) × 349 (D) mm khá nhỏ gọn nên có trọng lượng vừa phải chỉ 6.2kg. Phần khung vỏ của thiết bị được làm từ nhôm và được phủ một lớp sơn màu đen. Thiết bị có hệ thống làm mát bằng quạt và hoạt động tốt trong khoảng nhiệt độ từ 0 ℃ tới +40 ℃ và độ ẩm từ 35% đến 80%.
