Bộ chuyển đổi quang điện là gì?

Bộ chuyển đổi quang điện là gì? Bộ chuyển đổi quang điện hay còn gọi là converter quang, media converter hay cũng có thể gọi là thiết bị chuyển đổi tín hiệu quang. Thiết bị này thực hiện tiếp nhận và chuyển đổi tín hiệu quang sang điện và ngược lại ở 2 đầu khác nhau. Tuy nhiên, bộ chuyển đổi quang điện cần có hộp phối quang để kết nối và truyền tải tín hiệu.

Các loại converter quang phổ biến

Bộ chuyển đổi tín hiệu cáp quang sang cáp mạng được phân thành 2 dòng sản phẩm chính đáp ứng nhu cầu sử dụng rộng rãi của các hệ thông mạng viễn thông hiện nay.

Nguyên lý hoạt động của Converter quang

Với cả 2 dòng bộ chuyển đổi quang điện 1 sợi quang và 2 sợi quang này đều hoạt động chung với 1 nguyên lý là 1 bên thì phát và bên còn lại là nhận. Điều đó có nghĩa là:

– Đầu bên phát: 1 bên có sợi cáp đồng( tín hiệu điện) được cắm vào bộ chuyển đổi quang điện sau đó được converter chuyển đổi thành tín hiệu quang. Đưa ra và chuyền đi theo sợi cáp quang single mode tối đa được 120km.

– Đầu bên này là đầu nhận: có nhiệm vụ là đưa tín hiệu quang vào và converter lại chuyển đổi ngược lại từ tín hiệu quang sang tín hiệu điện và cho ra kết nối với switch hay máy tính.

Ứng dụng của Converter quang

  • Kết nối hai hay nhiều mạng nội bộ (mạng LAN)
  • Kết nối với mạng Internet qua modem quang
  • Kết nối hệ thống Camera IP và tín hiệu đa phương tiện
  • Tạo mạng dự phòng và mở rộng hệ thống mạng LAN
